
Shenandoah County 4-H Achievement Night winners announced

Outstanding 4-H members, leaders, and supporters were recognized during the recent Shenandoah County 4-H Virtual Achievement Night program.
Outstanding County 4-H Member Awards went to Danielle Rinker, from the Toms Brook 4-H Club, and James Zirkle, from the New Market 4-H Club.
The Charlotte H. Rinker Leadership Award was presented to Cheyenne Estep from the Shenandoah County 4-H Livestock Club.
The County Outstanding Leader was Stephanie Case from the Cabin Hill 4-H Club.
The Outstanding 4-H Family Award went to Adam, Kristi, Jesse and Lizzi Zirkle of the Shenandoah County 4-H Livestock Club.
Lindsey Rigby, from the Shenandoah County 4-H Livestock Club, Shenandoah County 4-H Exchange Club and Shenandoah County 4-H Goat Club, received the Alan Boyer Memorial Award.
The William Danforth “I Dare You” Awards were presented to Sarah Eaton of the New Market 4-H Club and Jacob Roberts of the Little North Mountain 4-H Shooting Education Club and St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H Club.
Chad Biby and Maggie Eaton, from the New Market 4-H Club, and Erin Van Norton, from the Lebanon Church 4-H Club, were tapped into the 4-H Honor Club.
Chad Biby, Marie-Claire des Rosiers, Cheyenne Estep, Danielle Rinker and James Zirkle were recognized as the State 4-H Congress delegates.
Cheyenne Estep and Danielle Rinker were selected as National 4-H Congress delegates from Virginia.
Cheyenne Estep, Danielle Rinker and Ms. Hope Matthews were recognized as 2020 Virginia 4-H All Stars.
The “Friend of 4-H” Award was presented to Mike Gochenour, Publisher of the Northern Virginia Daily, for continued outstanding support of the local 4-H program.
The following 4-H club plaques were also presented: Attendance – St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H Club; Participation – Toms Brook 4-H Club; Organizational – St. Luke-Saumsville 4-H Club; Project Books – Toms Brook 4-H Club; National 4-H Week – Toms Brook 4-H Club; and County Contest – Toms Brook 4-H Club.
