Shenandoah County receives $550K Community Development Block Grant
The Shenandoah County Tourism & Economic Development Department has been approved for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) in the amount of $550,000.
Money from this grant will be used to support the Shenandoah County Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Assistance Grant, which the county originally launched in late July.
The county has now launched the second round of Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Assistance Grant applications. This next round expands the business eligibility of the previous application to now include home-based businesses and agricultural businesses including farms.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until December or until all funds have been allocated.
More information on the program can be found at https://shenandoahcountyva.us/economic-development/
Those with questions should contact Shenandoah County Director of Tourism & Economic Development Jenna French at 540-459-1822.
