Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office is Investigating a Recent Series of Overdoses

Saturday January 14, the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office investigated two overdose cases in the Strasburg and Woodstock areas of Shenandoah County. Sheriff’s Office Investigators also assisted on a third overdose that occurred within the town limits of Woodstock. Two of the overdoses appear to be heroin related with one resulting in a death. The cause of the third is still unknown at this point. Sheriff’s Office staff assigned to the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force have executed two search warrants related to these incidents. These cases are still under investigation, and anyone with information regarding these, or any cases involving illegal narcotics, is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 540-459-6100.
