Shenandoah National Park begins phased reopening
Shenandoah National Park began its phased reopening on Saturday, May 23.
The entire length of Skyline Drive, all overlooks, some bathrooms and most trails are now open between the hours of 5 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Old Rag, Whiteoak and their associated trails, as well as all boundary trailheads and picnic areas remain closed.
The entire park will be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. and overnight use is prohibited. Entry fees apply.
Visitors are reminded to plan ahead, come prepared, practice social distancing and hike responsibly. Shenandoah National Park will continue to follow proper health guidelines to make sure all public areas and workspaces are safe and clean for visitors and employees.
