Shenandoah Co. Selects New County Administrator
The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors has announced their new selection for County Administrator.
The search for a qualified candidate began after current County Administrator Mary T. Price announced her retirement plans; now, effective April 2, 2019, Evan Vass will succeed her in the role. The Edinburg resident received his master’s degree in public administration from James Madison University, and has spent over 15 serving in local government. He has previously held positions such as the Town Manager of New Market and Assistant City Manager of Harrisonburg, and currently serves as Shenandoah County’s Assistant Administrator. In a statement Friday (3/8/2019), Administrator Price said that she is “pleased they’ve given Evan this opportunity,” and Board of Supervisors Chairman Dr. Conrad Helsley described him as “well known to the community” and the “right fit for our county.”
