Shenandoah University Martin Luther King Celebration

Shenandoah University presents a week-long slate of events that start on Monday, January 21st, will be designed to encourage reflection, service and dialogue both on SU’s campus and around Winchester in celebration of Martin Luther King. Day one will include a performance by the African-American female barbershop quartet Halo; other events over the course of the week include a performance by the Harambee Gospel Choir, a remembrance service featuring theologian Drew Hart, and a virtual reality reenactment of of the trial of abolitionist John Brown. There will also be numerous service opportunities with organizations like Blue Ridge Hospice, NW Works, and United Way. The celebration will run through Friday, January 25th.
