Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum reopens
The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum has reopened to the public with some restrictions.
The museum will be open Wednesday through Saturday with two daily shifts to visit; 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The museum will close mid-day to sanitize, clean surfaces and swap out exhibit accessories for daily deep cleaning.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Even members will have to reserve their tickets before visiting. Individuals can print their confirmation at home or show confirmation on a mobile device at check-in. Tickets will be posted one week in advance.
Masks will be required for ages 5 and up. Upon check-in, a staff member will take the temperature of all guests in a party. Social distancing dots have been placed throughout the museum at 6 foot lengths to help individuals stay a safe distance from other visitors.
The museum has implemented deep cleaning measures and hand-washing and sanitizing stations will be available on all floors.
