Shentel announces a workforce reduction

Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) announced that it is implementing a workforce reduction.

The reduction is in anticipation of the closing of the pending sale of Shentel’s wireless assets and certain liabilities to T-Mobile US, Inc (T-Mobile).

The organizational restructuring plan is expected to impact approximately 340 employees.

Most employees impacted by the reduction will exit the company in 2021.

The company plans to provide a severance along with other benefits for those affected.
