Sherando High School and the Town of Stephens City are reminding area residents about the Homecoming Parade on Thursday, September 17th which will close a portion of Route 11 in town limits.
The road closure will begin at 5:45 pm on Thursday from the intersection of Main Street and Fairfax Street and the parade will begin at 6 pm.
The band, floats, clubs and Homecoming court will follow the route for approximately 30-40 minutes and conclude at the Newtown Commons for a Bonfire.
Main Street will reopen after the parade but expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area before and after the event.
Sherando’s homecoming festivities will continue with the home football game vs James Wood and then the Homecoming dance on Saturday night.
