thanksgiving safety tips

Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) reports that Skyline Middle School had to be evacuated for about 90 minutes yesterday Feb. 23.

WCFR received a call around 9 a.m. that smoke was filling a class room of the school.

After evacuation and investigation there was no fire but smoke from a malfunctioning fan motor had filled the room.

Front Royal Truck 1, Rescue Engine 2 from Rivermont, Engine 4 from Linden and Rescue Engine 10 from North Warren assisted on the call.

After investigation maintenance staff resolved the fan motor issue and there were no other concerns.

It was determined that the incident posed no threat to students or staff and school resumed.
