The Shenandoah National Park (SNP) announced that they will host a virtual public meeting to discuss the Old Rag ticketing program on Apr. 17 at 7 p.m.

This is the second year of the ticketing program that restricts the number of daily visitors to hike one of the park’s most popular locations to prevent overcrowding.

The program also helps to protect park resources.

Park personnel have been gathering data on the project with a full report found here.

That data will also be shared at the Apr. 17 meeting with public input welcome at that meeting as well.

The hopes are to find ways to improve the Old Rag experience at SNP.
