Area HS Basketball Results…Caps Back Tonight…SU Hoop Tomorrow

In last night’s boys high school basketball:
Clarke beat Madison 61-50
Central rolled over Rappahannock 84-44
Handley defeated Millbrook 53-42
Wakefield Country Day got past Tandem Friends 62-53
Highland beat RMA 85-52
Page outlasted Luray 71-65
Legacy Christian defeated West Virginia School for the Blind 65-38
and the Brentsville-Skyline game was postponed

In girls hoop:
Page defeated Luray 49-29
Strasburg was victorious over Central 32-22
Spotswood beat Sherando 71-26
Millbrook ran past Handley 62-42
Tandem Friends nipped Wakefield Country Day 44-40
and Skyline-Brentsville was postponed

The Shenandoah University basketball teams play a doubleheader at Wilkins Center tomorrow. At 2 the Hornet Women entertain Randolph. It’s Senior Day for the women, as they honor Shannon Kuhn. Then at 4, the SU men host Ferrum. The men’s game can be heard on The River 95-3.

The Washington Capitals return to the ice tonight after the NHL All-Star break. The Caps, losers of 7 straight, will entertain the Calgary Flames. Air time is 6:45 on Sports Radio 1450.

And, Super Bowl 53 happens Sunday in Atlanta, as The New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams in a rematch of Super Bowl 36.
The Patriots’ Tom Brady will be playing in his 9th Super Bowl. Our coverage will begin at 2pm Sunday on The River 95-3 and Sports Radio 1450.
