Area VHSL Scores, SU Women’s B-Ball Falls In Salem, Caps Blanked By Jets
In the VHSL boys basketball playoffs last night:
Loudoun County 56 Millbrook 43 in the 4C title game. Milbrook and Loudoun County both advance to the next level
Central 67 Skyline 57 in a 3B semifinal game
In girl’s playoff action:
Loudoun Valley 87 Millbrook 52 for the 4C championship
(both teams advance)
Strasburg 54 Stuarts Draft 36 in a 2B semifinal
Luray 36 Page 35 in the other 2B semi.
Strasburg & Luray will play tomorrow for the 2B championship
The Shenandoah University women’s basketball season came to an end yesterday in Salem in an ODAC tournament quarterfinal. The Hornets were dominated for the second time in 10 days by Randolph Macon, falling to the Yellow Jackets 75-48. Senior Jordan Sondrol led SU in her final game with 14 points, as Shenandoah finishes at 16-10.
SU Track & Field, Baseball, and Women & Men’s Lacrosse are all in action tomorrow.
The Washington Capitals were blanked last night in Winnipeg 3-0. It was just the second time the Caps have been shut out this season. The Capitals will be in Minnesota Sunday at 7:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
And, the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros played to a 5-5 Spring Training tie yesterday. The Nats host the Rays today at 1:05.
