Area HS Hoop Results…SU Basketball On The Road

A light schedule of high school basketball last night, with just one game to report, as the Wakefield Country Day boys fell to Timber Ridge 56-51.

Tonight, the area schedule includes Warren County taking on Skyline. You can hear the game on Sports Radio 1450. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The SU Hornet B-ball teams hit the road this weekend. The Hornet men will travel to Randolph for a 4:30 tip on the River 95-3. The men are 5-13 and 1-8 in the ODAC.

The Hornet women have a 2pm tip against Washington & Lee in Lexington. The SU women are 9-10 overall, and 5-7 in the ODAC.

The Washington Wizards could not overcome a 9-point defecit after the first period and dropped a 126-118 decision against Golden State last night in DC. Trevor Ariza had 27 for the Wiz, who are back in action tonight in Orlando.

The Caps are off for the NHL All-Star Weekend, with the All-Star game scheduled for tomorrow in San Jose. The Caps will get back in action next Friday against Calgary.

And, if you need a football fix this weekend, the Senior Bowl features some of college football’s top seniors. That game is tomorrow in Mobile. Alabama. And the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl happens Sunday at 3 in Orlando.
