VBL Washouts, Nationals PPD, O’s Return To Action Tonight

In the Valley Baseball League, New Market at Strasburg was postponed due to rain, and will be made up at a later date. One game did take place, as C’Ville beat Staunton 6-2. Among the games tonight, Front Royal plays at Strasburg, while Winchester travels to Woodstock. Both games are 7pm starts.

The Washington Nationals game with San Francisco was postponed last night due to rain in the Nations’ Capital. That game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday, with 7-inning games at 2:05 and 7:15. Meanwhile, the Nats will take on the Giants tonight. Air time is 6:35 on Sports Radio 1450.

The Baltimore Orioles return to action tonight to start a weekend series with Tampa Bay. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10.

And, at the French Open tennis tournament, top-seed Novak Djokovich will face off against third-seed Rafael Nadal in one of the Men’s semifinals.
