SU Football Tonight, NCAA Tourney In Full Swing Today, Caps-Rangers Tonight
Shenandoah University Football is in action tonight, as the 0-2 Hornets host 2-0 Randolph-Macon at Shentel Stadium. Air time is 6pm on The River 95-3.
On the SU scoreboard, Lynchburg shut out Men’s Soccer 3-0. A full slate of athletic events is set for this weekend.
The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament began last night with the “First Four” games. Norfolk State nipped App State 54-53 to advance to the first round. Other winners last night were Drake, UCLA, and Texas Southern.
There are 16 first round games on tap today, starting at 12:15, as Virginia Tech takes on Florida. Liberty tips off with Oklahoma State at 6:25, and WVU plays Morehead State at 9:50 tonight. Virginia plays it’s first round game tomorrow night against Ohio.
And, the Washington Capitals return to the ice tonight against the New York Rangers. The Caps have won 10 of their last 11, and sit in a first place tie atop the NHL’s Eastern Division. The puck drops at 7. because of SU Football, there will be no Caps coverage tonight on The River 95-3.
