NFL Draft Will Go On, Indy 500 Postponed, Legendary ‘Trotter Dies

The NFL Draft will go on as scheduled April 23rd through the 25th. A memo to all the teams from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says that changes in the way the event is held and televised will obviously have to be made. All related events surrounding the draft have been canceled.

Another iconic event has been postponed. The Indy 500 will now be held on August 23rd, as opposed to May. The GMR Grand Prix and NASCAR Xfinity Series races, which had been scheduled as a doubleheader on May 9, move to Saturday July 4. The Brickyard 400 runs the following day, July 5th. The entire revamped 2020 schedule will be released soon.

And, legendary Harlem Globetrotter Curly Neal has died at at age 77. Born Fred Neal, he was a college basketball star before joining the ‘Trotters in 1963. He went on to appear in over 6,000 exhibition games in 97 countries before retiring in 1985.
