Warrant Issued For Former Redskin, June NASCAR Stop in Va., MLB Players Asking For Documents

Arrest warrants have been issued for New York Giant Deandre Baker and former Washington Redskin and current Seattle Seahawk Quinton Dunbar. The two have been accused of carrying out an armed robbery Wednesday night at a Florida cookout. A fight allegedly broke out at the get-together, and according to the warrants, Baker pulled a gun and along with Dunbar and two other men, began robbing guests of their cash and other valuables. There were no injuries.

NASCAR announced yesterday that it plans to hold it’s June races in Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Florida, and Alabama–all without fans. The Cup Series is set to return from it’s coronavirus shutdown this Sunday at Darlington, minus spectators.

According to the AP, the baseball players’ union has asked MLB for documents that describe the industry’s finances, as agreement is being sought for starting the virus-delayed season. The owners have okayed the plan, which would start the season in early July, but a proposal for the players to get a percentage of their 2020 salaries based on a revenue split is a major stumbling block.

And, former MLB manager & player Art Howe is in ICU at a Houston hospital with the coronavirus. The 73 year-old Howe first began feeling symptoms on May 3rd and got progressively worse.
