NFL Announces Sked, Indy To Resume, More Details On Golf Match
The NFL announced it’s 2020 schedule last night in a televised event,
anticipating a normal time frame despite the pandemic. However, Commissioner Roger Goodell told teams that adjustments would be made if neccesary. The season will open on Thursday, September 10th, with the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Houston Texans. The Washington Redskins will open their season September 13th with a 1pm home game against NFC East rival Philadelphia.
IndyCar announced yesterday that it will open it’s delayed season June 6th at Texas Motor Speedway, without spectators. There will be a condensed schedule, with practice, qualifying, and the race taking place on the same day. Other safety guidelines include social distancing protocols and health screening for all participants.
And, Turner Sports announced more details yesterday about the televised golf match on Sunday May 24th that will feature Tiger Woods, Phil Mickleson, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. “The Match: Champions For Charity” will donate $10 million to coronavirus relief.
The event will air at 3pm on a number of networks, including TBS and TNT.
