Casey Leads Masters, Colts Top Titans, Weekend Football Sched
Britian’s Paul Casey fired a 7-under 65 and tops the leader board after round one of The Masters at Augusta National. Tiger Woods is just 3 shots back after a 4-under 68, his best-ever opening round at The Masters. After an early rain delay yesterday, some players will have to finish their opening rounds today.
Phillip Rivers threw for 308 yards and a TD in a 34-17 Colts win over Tennessee last night, as the NFL weekend began. In the victory, Rivers passed Hall of Famer Dan Marino for fifth place in career passing yards. This weekend, Washington hosts the Bengals at 1, while the Ravens visit New England in the Sunday night game.
The College Football Playoff and the New Years Six bowl games could be postponed due to the pandemic. Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby said yesterday that there have been discussons about moving back those games. In all 57 games have been postponed or canceled due to coronavirus issues, with another 2 added yesterday.
In college football tomorrow, Virginia takes on Louisville at 3:30, Virginia Tech plays number 9 Miami at noon, WVU hosts TCU at noon, and number 22 Libery plays Western Carolina
