Packers Down ‘Niners, College & Pro Skeds, NBA Season To Begin In December
In the NFL Thursday Night game, Aaron Rodgers completed 25-of-31 passes for 305 yards and 4 touchdowns, as the Green Bay Packers beat the depleted San Francisco 49ers, 34-17. The ‘Niners were missing several key players, including starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo. With the win, the Pack improved to 6-2. The 49ers fell to 4-5.
This Sunday in the NFL, The Washington Football Team hosts the Giants at 1, The Ravens travel to Indianapolis for a 1pm kickoff, and Tampa Bay entertains New Orleans in the Sunday Night matchup.
Saturday’s Cal-Washington Pac-12 opener has been canceled after one of the California players tested positive for the coronavirus. The league said that with the positive test, Cal doesn’t have the minimum number of scholarship players available for the game. The game will be declared a no-contest.
In regional action tomorrow, Virginia Tech hosts number-25 Liberty at noon, WVU travels to number-22 Texas for a noon kickoff, and the Virginia-Louisville game has been moved to the 14th because of coronavirus concerns.
And, as expected, the NBA Players Association voted in favor of starting the new season on December 22nd.
