Area HS Football Slate, SU Heads To HSC, Astros Go 3-1 Up On Yanks

Shenandoah University looks to regroup after last week’s loss at Randolph-Macon, when they head to Hampden-Sydney tomorrow for an ODAC matchup. Head Coach Scott Yoder talks about what the Hornets need to do to bounce back against the Tigers (YODER1). SU is 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the ODAC, while Hampden-Sydney is struggling at 1-5, and 0-4 in the league. Air time is 12:30 on The River 95-3.

Kansas City routed Denver in the Thursday Night NFL game. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes suffered a knee injury and had to be replaced by Matt Moore. KC improves to 5-2, while the Broncos drop to 2-5.
Sunday, the Washington Redskins entertain the 49ers, while the Baltimore Ravens travel to Seattle.
And, the Houston Astros took a commanding 3-1 lead in the ALCS with an 8-3 win over the Yankees last night. Houston took advantage of Yankee errors in the contest, and can close out the series tonight when they send Justin Verlander to the hill at 7:08. Winner of the ALCS will play the Washington Nationals in the World Series starting Tuesday on Sports Radio 1450.
