Area HS Football, Skins Fall To Vikes, Nats Ready For Game 3
There was one high schol football game last night as James Wood beat Fauquier 21-18. The Colonels are now 6-2 on the season. Tonight:

Dalvin Cook ran for 98 yards and Kirk Cousins threw for 285 yards as the Vikings beat the Redskins in the Thursday Night NFL game. The ‘Skins offense failed to score a touchdown for the second straight game as Washington fell to 1-7 on the season. Minnesota improved to 6-2.
The World Series moves to the Nation’s Capital tonight for the first time since 1933, as the Nationals try to grab a stranglehold on the Fall Classic. The Nats lead the Houston Astros 2 games to none, and will send Anibal Sanchez to the mound for an 8:08 first-pitch. Air time is 7pm on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
And the Washington Capitals blew a 3-1 lead and lost in overtime to the Edmonton Oilers last night 4-3. Alex Ovechkin tallied 2 goals for the Caps, who continue their road trip tonight in Vancouver.
