The Washington Nationals pounded out 14 hits on the way to a 12-6 win in Minnesota last night. Anthony Rendon and Juan Soto drove in 3 runs apiece and made a winner of Patrick Corbin, who pitched 6 innings and scattered 9 hits. The Nats now head back home for a weekend series with the Atlanta Braves. Max Scherzer takes the hill for the Nationals.
The LA Dodgers doubled up the Orioles last night 4-2. The Birds head to Detroit tonight to start a weekend set against the Tigers.
And,on Thursday Night Football, Tampa Bay beat a struggling Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers 20-14. The Bucs improve to 1-1 on the season, while Carolina is off to an 0-2 start.
