Nats Fall To Phils In 10th, O’s-Yanks Today, Tour Championship Begins

The Washington Nationals are now 12-23 after an extra inning 6-5 loss
to the Philadelphia Phillies yesterday. The Phils completed the 3-game sweep by plating a run in the bottom of the tenth for the win.
Trea Turner led the Nats with a 3-for-5 day, including an inside-the-park home run. The Nationals now head to Atlanta to start a weekend series with the Braves. The 2 teams play a doubleheader today starting at 3:40 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.

The Baltimore Orioles return to action after a day off yesterday. The
O’s take on the New York Yankees at 5:05.

In golf, the Fed-Ex Cup Playoffs conclude this weekend with the PGA Tour Championship, at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The star-studded field features the 30 top Fed-Ex Cup golfers, including the world’s number-one player, Dustin Johnson. Play begins at noon.

And, Serena Williams advanced at the US Open Tennis Tournament in New York. She’ll now play fellow American Sloane Stephens on Saturday.
