SU Update, UVA Heads To Final Four, Turner Bails Out Nat’s ‘Pen
On Saturday, Shenandoah University baseball dropped a pair of games at nationally-ranked Randolph Macon 8-3 and 13-4. The Hornets fell to 10-7 overall and 5-5 in the ODAC. Next up, a 3:30 Tuesday home game against York, Pa.

Softball swept Roanoke 6-1 and 4-1 Sunday
Women’s golf finished 2nd at the Mary Washington Invitational
Men’s golf finished 10th at the McDaniel Spring Invitational
In track and field, the men finished 6th and the women 5th at the Blue & Silver Challenge in Newport News.
Women’s lacrosse nipped Lynchburg 13-12
UVA was the lone number-one seed to advance to the Final Four in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, with a thrilling 80-75 win over Purdue on Saturday. The ‘Hoos will now face Auburn this Saturday at 6:09 PM in one National Semifinal game in Minneapolis. The other contest will have Michigan State versus Texas Tech.
Trea Turner hit 2 home runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth, as the Nationals beat the Mets yesterday 6-5. Turner’s second homer, a line drive into the left field stands, bailed out another meltdown by the National’s bullpen, which squandered a solid start by newcomer Patrick Corbin. The Nats have the day off today before facing Bryce Harper and the 3-0 Phillies Tuesday night on Sports Radio 1450.
The Orioles stopped the New York Yankees yesterday 7-5. The O’s, who took 2 of 3 in New York, will be in Toronto tonight to take on the Blue Jays.
And the Capitals skate tonight in Florida as they close in on the Metro Division title. Air time is 6:45 on Sports radio 1450.
