SU Update, Tiger Completes Epic Comeback, Nats Lose, Caps in Carolina

Softball split 2 with E&H on Senior Day, losing 8-2 and winning 4-2
Women’s lacrosse clobbered Ferrum 19-6 to stay unbeaten in ODAC play
Over the weekend, baseball swept Ferrum 8-6 and 2-1.

The Washington Nationals lost to Pittsburgh 4-3 yesterday in DC, as the bullpen failures continue. Wander Suero gave up the eventual winning run in the 9th, spoiling a strong 8 innings of work from Max Scherzer. Anthony Rendon extended his hitting streak for the Nats, who have the day off today before entertaining the Giants tomorrow at 7:05 on Sports Radio 1450.
The Red Sox blanked the O’s yesterday 4-0. The two teams play the annual Patriot’s Day game in Boston at 11:05 am.
The Capitals will try to grab a stranglehold on their opening round playoff series with Carolina tonight. The Caps lead the best-of-seven series 2-0 after a thrilling 4-3 overtime win Saturday in DC. The series moves to Carolina for games 3 and 4. Air time tonight is 6:45 on Sports Radio 1450.
And, 43 year-old Tiger Woods completed one of the most epic comebacks in sports history by winning the 2019 Masters yesterday. Woods shot a 2-under 70 on Sunday to capture his fifth green jacket, and his 15th major tournament victory. Woods’ last major came in 2008, and his last Masters win was 14 years ago.
