SU Women’s B-Ball Stung, Skins-Eagles On MNF, Bowl Bids Out…
Shenandoah University women’s basketball lost a battle of Hornets yesterday at the Wilkins Center, dropping a 74-62 ODAC contest to the Lynchburg Hornets. SU led early, but Lynchburg grabbed a 10 point lead at the break and withstood a brief Shenandoah rally and improved to 3-5 and 2-1 in the league. Jordan Sondrol led the way for SU with 16, as they fall to 3-4, and 0-3. The Shenandoah women will entertain Goucher Wednesday night at 7.
On Saturday, the Hornet men fell to Hampden-Sydney 89-75 at the Wilkins Center, as the Tigers shot 57 percent from the floor. Once again, the free throw shooting woes continued for SU, as they shot just 60 percent from the line. The Hornets travel to Juniata for a 7pm game tonight on The River 95-3.
Tonight, the Washington Redskins will take on the Philadelphia Eagles
in the Monday Night NFL game. With a win, the ‘Skins would move back into a first place tie with the Cowboys in the NFC East. Kickoff is set for 8:15 in Philadelphia.

The Giants upset the Bears 30-27 in overtime,
and the Chargers beat the Steelers in the Sunday night game 33-30 on a last-second field goal.
The College Football Playoff pairings are set, as Alabama will take on Oklahoma in one national semifinal, while Notre Dame collides with Clemson in the other.
Bowl bids also went out yesterday, and it’ll be Virginia Tech against Cincinnati in the Military Bowl December 31st in Annapolis. UVA goes against South Carolina in the Belk Bowl December 29th. And it’s West Virginia versus Syracuse in the Camping World Bowl December 28th.
And the Washington Capitals blew a 5-1 lead and lost to the Anaheim Ducks 6-5 yesterday in DC. The Caps are back on the ice Tuesday night in Vegas to take on the Golden Knights. Air time is 9:45 on NBC SportsRadio 1450.
