NFC Wins Virtual Pro Bowl, Stafford To Rams, Caps Skate Tonight

Because of the pandemic, there was no traditional Pro Bowl this year, but in a virtual version, the NFC beat the AFC 32-12. The teams, made up of current and past NFL stars and other celebrities, competed in a game of Madden football. NASCAR’s Bubba Wallace was the star, scoring 3 touchdowns in the second quarter.

In the big NFL news yesterday, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was traded to the Rams in exchange for QB Jared Goff and several draft picks. The Washington Football Team was said to have been in the running to land Stafford.

In Shenandoah University athletics over the weekend, Men’s Basketball dropped a tight 61-59 decision at Roanoke Saturday night, while Track & Field had a strong showing this weekend at the VMI Winter Relays, with 14 top-ten finishes.

And, the Washington Capitals are back on the ice tonight when they host the Boston Bruins at 7. The Caps, who have yet to lose in regulation this season, beat the Bruins Saturday on an Alex Ovechkin overtime goal. You can hear the action tonight on The River 95-3.
