SU Update, AFC & NFC Matchups Set, CFP Championship Tonight

The Shenandoah Hornets posted 2 wins yesterday as they opened their indoor track & field season by hosting the Kaye and JJ Smith Invitational at the Wilkins Center. Jason White won the men’s triple jump, while Rebecca Doran finished first in the 3000-meter run. The Hornet men finished fourth, while the SU women finished fifth in the 10-team meet.

The NFL’s final four is set after this weekend’s divisional round. The Packers held off the Seahawks last night 28-23 in Green Bay, while the Chiefs rallied from a 24-0 deficit to beat the Texans 51-31. Kansas City will now host Tennessee in next Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, while Green Bay will travel to San Francisco for the NFC title game. The Titans shocked Baltimore on Saturday, while
the 49ers disposed of Minnesota.

The college football season comes to an end tonight, as LSU meets Clemson in the College Football Playoff Championship game. Both teams are 14-0. Kickoff is set for 8pm in New Orleans.

And, the struggling Washington Capitals are back on the ice tonight with a 7pm home skate against Carolina. The Caps have lost 2 straight and 4 of their last 7. Air time is 6:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
