SU Men Get Comeback Win, NFL Wild Card Update, Caps Stun Sharks
The Shenandoah University Hornet Men’s basketball team came from 18 points down to beat Randolph 71-65 Saturday at the Wilkins Center. Scoring runs of 12-2 and 15-0 propelled SU to their 5th win of the season, as they improved to 2-1 in the ODAC. Zach Garrett led the way with 16 for Shenandoah, who return to Wilkins Wednesday against Eastern Mennonite. Air time 6:45 on the River 95-3.
The Hornet women lost their first ODAC game Saturday at Emory & Henry
59-41. Next up for the SU Women, a Tuesday 7pm tip against W&L.
The NFL Wild Card Weekend concluded yesterday with 2 games. In the early contest, Kirk Cousins led the Vikings to a 26-20 overtime win at New Orleans, while the Eagles fell to Seattle 17-9. On Saturday, Tennessee eliminated New England, and Houston got past Buffalo in OT.
The Washington Capitals scored 2 goals in the final minute of regulation, and then scored the game-winner in overtime to beat the San Jose Sharks 5-4. The Caps entertain the Senators tomorrow at 7pm.
