SU Baseball Sweeps Wasps, Caps Win Again, College Hoop Recap
Shenandoah University got out the brooms and swept Emory & Henry in an ODAC baseball twinbill yesterday, 10-8 and 8-1. In game 1, the Hornets rallied with 4 runs in the top of the ninth for the win, and in game 2, junior Reeves Lowry scattered 3 hits in 8 innings of work as SU got the doubleheader sweep. Shenandoah improves to 4-2 overall, and 2-0 in the ODAC.

Shamyra Wilkerson became the first All-American in Hornet track & field history with her 8th place finish in the 200 meters at the NCAA Division-3 Indoor Championship on Saturday.
SU outdoor track & field competed this weekend at the Coastal Carolina Invitational with 10 top-10 finishes on day 2.
Women’s lacrosse beat Marywood 20-12
W&L blanked women’s tennis 5-0
Men’s lacrosse outscored Guilford 18-8
and CNU swept softball 10-0 and 9-1
Today, men & women’s golf are in Beaufort, SC, while baseball hosts Messiah.
The Washington Capitals won their seventh straight game, beating the Winnipeg Jets 3-1 in DC last night. Phoenix Copely stopped 33 shots for the Caps, who scored in each period and improved to 41-21-7, good for first place in the NHL’s Metro Division. The Capitals are back in action tomorrow against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Air time is 6:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
And, in college hoop over the weekend, number-2 UVA outlasted Louisville 64-52. The Cavaliers will play Thursday at 12:30 in the ACC Tournament.
15th-ranked Virginia Tech beat Miami 84-70 on Friday to earn a 5-seed in the ACC tournament. They’ll play Wednesday at 2pm.
