HS Football Playoff Pairings, Falcons Dominate ‘Skins, Bauserman ODAC POW
The regular season is over in area high school football, and several teams are preparing for the Virginia state playoffs this coming weekend.
In Class 4-Region C, 7-3 Milbrook will travel to Kettle Run, while 9-1 Sherando will receive a first round bye.
In Class 2-Region B, 7-3 Strasburg will play at 9-1 Central, while 6-4 Buffalo Gap visits 7-3 Clarke County
The Shenandoah University Hornets snapped a 3-game losing streak Saturday with a 62-47 Senior Day win against Guilford. The game featured over 1300 yards of total offense, as Hornet QB Hayden Bauserman tossed a school-record 8 touchdown passes. For his efforts, the senior signal-caller was named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week. SU wraps up it’s season Saturday with a 1pm kickoff at Washington & Lee, on The River 95-3.
Meanwhile, Lynchburg deafeated SU field hockey over the weekend in the ODAC Championship game 7-2.
The Washington Redskins were manhandled yesterday at Fed-Ex Field by the Atlanta Falcons 38-14. Atlanta amassed almost 500 yards of offense yesterday, as the ‘Skins fall to 5-3 on the season. Next up for Washington is a trip to Tampa Bay next Sunday. In other NFL games of interest,
