SU Football Loses 20-Point Lead…Skins Hold Off G-Men…Sox Win Series
Shenandoah University Football saw a 20-0 lead disappear Saturday in a 28-20 defeat at Bridgewater. The Eagles began their comeback with a late second quarter touchdown, then added 3 scores in the second half, while holding SU scoreless over the final 39 minutes of the contest. next up for 3-5 (1-4) Shenandoah is a Senior Day home game against Guilford. Air time is Saturday at 12:30 on The River 95-3.
Over the weekend, the SU men finished 7th and the women 4th in the ODAC Cross Country Championships at the Kernstown Battlefield.
The Washington Redskins improved to 5-2 with a 20-13 win over the Giants yesterday. The ageless Adrian Peterson rushed for 149 yards for the ‘Skins, including a 64-yard touchdown run that put the game out of reach with 3 minutes to go. NFC East leading Washington now entertains Atlanta Sunday at 1.

The Boston Red Sox beat the LA Dodgers last night 5-1 to win the 2018 World Series in 5 games. David Price got the win for Boston, his 3rd postseason victory this season. Steve Pearce hit 2 homers for the Sox and was named World Series MVP.
Alabama and Clemson remain 1-2 in this week’s AP College Football Poll. 11 ranked teams were beaten this weekend in the biggest shakeup in rankings history. WVU improved to number 12, while UVA enters the poll at number 23.
And, Joey Logano took the NASCAR race at Martinsville yesterday. With the win, Logano locked himself into the final four that will compete for the Monster Cup title in the final race of the season in Miami.
