Ravens Soar Past Football Team, MLB Sched,
Lamar Jackson threw for 2 scores and ran for another as the Baltimore Ravens beat the Washington Football Team yesterday 31-17 at Fed-Ex Field. Statistically, Washington QB Dwayne Haskins threw for a career-high 314 yards, but took a key 18-yard sack in the 4th quarter when the WFT was trying to get back to within a touchdown. 1-3 Washington will now host the Rams Sunday at 1. The 3-1 Ravens will host the Bengals on Sunday.
Elsewhere in the NFL:
The Browns outscored the Cowboys 49-38. Dallas is now 1-3.
The Rams held off the winless Giants 17-9.
Philadelphia now leads the NFC East after a 25-20 win over the 49ers.
Tonight, the rescheduled Patriots-Chiefs game will kickoff at 7, and the Falcons-Packers game will be played at 8:50.
In the MLB Playoffs, the American League Divisional Round gets underway today with Oakland hosting Houston in Game 1 at 4:07, while
Tampa Bay entertains New York just after 8. The NL Divisional games begin tomorrow.
At the French Open Tennis Tournament, second-seeded Rafael Nadal advanced, while women’s top-seed Simona Halep was ousted in straight sets.
Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega in a wild finish.
And, the Miami Heat beat the LA Lakers 115-104 last night in the NBA Finals. The Lakers still lead 2 games-to-1.
