Hornets Lose Shootout, Skins Drop Home Opener, Nats Take 2 Of 3 From Braves
The Shenandoah Hornets fell to 2-1 on the season after losing to Hobart Saturday night, 56-48. The game featured a combined 1076 total yards from the 2 teams, including 471 passing yards from SU Quarterback Hayden Bauserman. The senior also tossed 6 TD passes in the loss. The Hornets now have a bye week before starting ODAC play against Ferrum on September 29th at Shentel Stadium. You can hear it starting at 12:30 on The River 95-3.

The lethargic Washington Redskins lost their home opener yesterday to the Colts 21-9. The Indianapolis defense held ‘Skins running back Adrian Peterson to just 20 yards on 11 carries on an afternoon where Washington failed to score a touchdown.

The Nationals took 2-of-3 from the Braves this weekend. The Nats beat Atlanta yesterday 6-4, as Bryce Harper and Anthony Rendon hit homers, Tanner Roark provided solid starting pitching, and Sean Doolittle picked up his 24th save. The Nationals travel to Miami for a 2-game series with the Marlins. Air time tonight is 6:30 on NBC SportsRadio 1450
And, the Orioles doubled up the White Sox, 8-4.
