WFT Has No Answer For Murray, Nats Split, DeChambeau Wins US Open
Arizona QB Kyler Murray threw for 286 yards and ran for 67 more as the Cardinals beat The Washington Football Team yesterday 30-15 in the desert. The Cardinals sliced and diced their way to a 20-0 halftime lead, and Washington could never recover, falling to 1-1 on the season. Washington wide-receiver Terry McLaurin had 7 catches for 125 yards in the loss. The WFT takes on Cleveland next Sunday at 1.
Elsewhere in the NFL:
The Baltimore Ravens thrashed Houston 33-16 to improve to 2-0.
Tom Brady won his first game as a Buc in a 31-17 Tampa win over Carolina.
The Cowboys beat Atlanta in a 40-39 comeback win.
And in the Sunday Night game, Seattle downed New England 35-30.
Tonight, it’s the Saints versus the Raiders in Monday Night Football.
The Washington Nationals split a Sunday doubleheader against Miami yesterday, dropping the opener 2-1, then pounding out 18 hits in the nightcap in a 15-0 win. The 20-32 Nats enter the final week of the season with a 4-game set against the Phillies. Air time tonight is 5:35 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
The Orioles nipped Tampa Bay 2-1 yesterday. The Birds have the day off today.
And Bryson DeChambeau bullied the famed Winged Foot course to win his first major, the coveted US Open Golf Tournament. DeChambeau, who fired a final round 67, was the only player in the field to finish under par at minus-6. Matthew Wolff was a distant second at even par.
