SU Falls to Bridgewater, Nats Bullpen Can’t Hold Fish, Skins on MNF

Handley routed Skyline Saturday 60-25. On Friday:
James Wood beat Warren County 63-35
Stuarts Draft defeated Clarke 21-7
Strasburg took down Central 20-10
and Millbrook thrashed Kettle Run 55-27
The Shenandoah University Hornets lost their home football opener Saturday night 35-17 to Bridgewater. The Eagles scored on their first 2 drives of the game and never looked back, as they improved to 3-0 ans 1-0 in the ODAC. Casey Stewart caught 2 TD passes for the 1-1, 0-1 Hornets, who now travel to Guilford Saturday afternoon. Air time is 12:30 on The River 95-3.
UVA held off ODU over the weekend 28-17
WVU beat Kansas 29-24
and JMU defeated Chattanooga 37-14
In the NFL Sunday Night game last night, The LA Rams scored 10 fourth quarter points to beat the Cleveland Browns 20-13. Jared Goff threw for 269 yards and 2 TDs for the winners. The Rams are now 3-0, while Cleveland falls to 1-2.
The Washington Redskins try to avoid an 0-3 start tonight when they host the 1-1 Chicago Bears at Fed-EX Field. Kickoff is slated for 8:15.
And, The Washington Nationals find themselves in a virtual tie with the Milwaukee Brewers this morning in the NL Wild Card race after a 5-3 loss in Miami yesterday. Once again, the Nats bullpen gave up a lead, this time surrendering a 3-1 advantage. The Nationals, whose magic number to clinch a Wild Card spot is 4, host the Phillies tonight at 6:35 on Sports Radio 1450. Patrick Corbin takes the mound for Washington.
