The Washington Nationals built a 9-2 lead, and had to hang on to beat the San Francisco Giants last night 9-6 in DC. The Nats got home runs from Juan Soto, Howie Kendrick, Matt Adams, and Kurt Suzuki, but once again the bullpen made things interesting, as the Giants scored 4 in the 9th inning. Sean Doolittle was once again called on to put out the fire, as the Nats evened their record at 8-8. The 2 teams finish the three game series this afternoon starting at 12:35 on Sports Radio 1450.
The Tampa Bay Rays cruised to an 8-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles.
The Birds managed only 3 hits in the loss, as they dropped to 7-12 on the season. The O’s and Rays do battle again tonight at 7:10.
And, the Caps try to rebound from Monday’s 5-0 loss against Carolina when the two teams play Game 4 of their NHL Playoff series tonight in Raleigh. The Caps lead the best-of-seven series 2-1, and with a win tonight, can wrap up the series Saturday in Washington. Air time tonight is 6:45 on Sports Radio 1450.
