Shenandoah University quarterback Hayden Bauserman has earned the Lanier Award as the top NCAA Division 2, 3 and NAIA player in Virginia. The SU senior picked up the award last night from the Touchdown Club of Richmond. The Woodstock Central product also earned
Offensive Back Of The Year honors at last night’s banquet.
Meanwhile, 3 Shenandoah University field hockey players earned VaSID honors yesterday. Taylor Hayes and Morgan Payne were named to the All-State First Team, while Kelsey Jones was named to the second team. Jones was also awarded her second Rookie Of The Year award.
The Washington Wizards fell in OT to the Boston Celtics last night 130-125. John Wall led Washington with 34 points, while Bradley Beal and Jeff Green added 22 apiece, as the Wizards fell to 11-17 on the season.
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has named Lamar Jackson as his starting quarterback for this weekend’s game, even though Joe Flacco is healthy. Flacco has missed four games due to a hip injury.
