Ryder Cup PPD, Johnson Gets OK From NASCAR, Ivy Cancels Fall Sports
Golf’s Ryder Cup, which was to be played in September in Wisconsin, has been postponed until September of 2021, due to coronavirus concerns. Another factor in the postponement is that the event would have been played without fans this year. With the Ryder Cup being pushed back to next year, the Presidents has been moved to 2022.
Jimmie Johnson has been given the green light to return to NASCAR after twice testing negative for the coronavirus following a positive test last Friday. The 7-time Cup champion missed the first series race of his career Sunday, but will now race this Sunday at the Kentucky Speedway.
And, the Ivy League canceled all Fall sports on Wednesday, including football. The other sports affected include soccer, field hockey, volleyball, cross country, and the Fall portion of Winter sports like basketball. The league did leave open the possibility of moving some sports until Spring 2021.
