The Washington Nationals start a crucial homestand when they host Arizona tonight. The Nats start the day 31-36, 7 1/2 games behind the first place Atlanta Braves in the NL East. The Toronto Blue Jays scored 6 runs in the 5th inning and went on to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 8-6 last night at Camden Yards. The two teams meet again tonight at 7:05 in the series finale.
The St. Louis Blues won their first-ever Stanley Cup last night, stopping the Boston Bruins 4-1 in a deciding Game 7. The win ends a 52-year drought for the franchise.
And, golf’s third “major” of the season begins today as the US Open begins at the famed Pebble Beach golf links in California. The featured group of Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, and Justin Rose will be one of the last groups to tee off this afternoon at 2:09 Pacific time.
