6 Straight For SU Baseball, Tech & WVU Advance, Caps In Philly Tonite
Shenandoah University baseball won it’s sixth in a row yesterday with a 4-2 win at Mary Washington. The 6-2 Hornets scored all the runs they would need in a 4-run fourth inning, despite being outhit 13-9.
Freshman Matt Barnes,one of five SU pitchers used by Kevin Anderson, picked up the victory. Next up for the Hornets, a home twinbill against Virginia Wesleyan Saturday at noon.

Softball took 2 from Hood, 6-2 & 10-0
Women’s Lacrosse won at Frostburg State 24-12
Women’s Tennis downed Guilford 7-2
And Men’s Tennis fell to Guilford 9-0
Today, Men and Women’s Golf competes in the Shenandoah Spring Invitational in St. Cloud, Florida.
The Virginia Tech Hokies advanced in the ACC Basketball Tournament with a 71-56 win over Miami. The 24-7 Hokies, who drained 11 3-pointers in the win, move on to the quarterfinal round, where they will take on Florida State today at 3pm.
Number-1 seed UVA will play this afternoon at 12:30, when they face 8th-seeded NC State, The Wolfpack advanced with a controversial 59-58 comeback win over Clemson.
WVU lives to play another day in the Big-12 Tournament with a 72-71 win over Oklahoma last night. The 10th-seeded Mountaineers will now take on number 2 seeded Texas Tech tonight at 7.
The Capitals get back on the ice tonight when they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Flyers. Air time is 6:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
Than Nats doubled up the Braves yesterday in Spring Training baseball 8-4.
And golf’s so-called “5th major” begins today at the Players Championship at the famed TPC at Sawgrass.
