Caps Skate Past Vegas…Another Week Begins In The NFL…SU Update
Checking the Shenandoah University Scoreboard:
Randolph-Macon blanked Women’s soccer 4-0
The Yellow Jackets also nipped Men’s soccer 2-1
And field hockey was beaten by Lynchburg 4-1
Today at SU,
The Hornets host Roanoke in volleyball. It’s a “Dig Pink” game for SU
Shenandoah University finishes a 5-game football homestand Saturday afternoon when they host Randolph-Macon at 1. The Jackets are 2-0 in the ODAC, while the Hornets are 1-1 in the league. Air time is 12:30 on The River 95-3.
The Washington Capitals improved to 2-0-1 on the season with a 5-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in DC. Evgeny Kuznetsov had a 4-point night for the Caps, who posted 3 goals in the third period to get the win. The Capitals will skate in New Jersey tonight against the Devils. Air time is 6:45 on NBC SportsRadio 1450.
Two NFC East teams in desperate need of a win play tonight, as another week begins in the NFL. The 1-4 New York Giants take on the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, who have struggled to a 2-3 start. Kickoff is just after 8pm.
There are a couple of college football games tonight as Georgia Southern travels to Texas State. And in a Big-12 matchup, Texas Tech visits TCU.
And on “Sports Dogs After Hours,” new Handley Athletic Director Reed Prosser talks with Randy Woodward just after 7pm on The River 95-3.
