Dodgers, Sox One Win Away…Caps Win In OT…NFL Thursday Matchup

The Hornets travel to Emory & Henry Saturday in an ODAC football matchup. Air time is 12:30 on the River 95-3.

Matt Niskanen lit the lamp in overtime last night, as the Washington Capitals broke a 2-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the New York Rangers. The 3-2-1 Caps are back on the ice tomorrow at 7 when they host Florida.

In the MLB Playoffs, the LA Dodgers and Boston Red Sox are one win away from playing in the World Series. The Dodgers got a masterpiece from Clayton Kershaw in a 5-2 win over Milwaukee, while the Sox outlasted Houston 8-6. Game 5 of the ALCS is tonight in Houston, with Boston holding a commanding 3-1 series lead.

In the NFL Thursday Night game, the Denver Broncos visit the Arizona Cardinals. The Broncos have struggled to a 2-4 start, while the Cardinals are 1-5.

The Washington Wizards open their NBA regular season tonight when they host the Miami Heat. Tip off is 8pm.

And, on the award-winning “Sports Dogs After Hours” tonight at 7, Russ Potts will talk about a special event coming up in Winchester featuring Virginia Tech coaching icon Frank Beamer. That’s tonight, on the River 95-3.
