Nats Crush Astros, SU Update, Skins & Vikes Start The NFL Weekend

SU Football returns home Saturday afternoon to take on Emory & Henry. The Wasps lead the ODAC in total offense and are looking for their 5th consecutive win. The Hornets are 4-2 overall, and 3-2 in the league. Air time is 12:30 on The River 95-3.
The Washington Nationals won their 8th straight post-season game and took a commanding 2-0 World Series lead with a 12-3 domination of the Astros last night. Kurt Suzuki’s 7th inning homer off Justin Verlander broke a 2-2 tie and opened the floodgates for the Nats, who took 2 games from heavily-favored Houston. Stephen Stasburg pitched 6 innings and got the win for the Nationals, who return home for Games 3, 4 and if necessary, 5 this weekend. Air time Friday night is 7pm on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
The NFL weekend begins tonight with the Redskins visiting the Vikings. The game marks a return to Minnesota for ‘Skins running back Adrian Peterson, who expects to play despite a high ankle sprain. Former Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins leads the Vikings offense with over 1700 yards passing and 13 touchdowns. Kickoff is set for 8:20.
And, the Washington Capitals are in Edmonton tonight for a 9pm skate against the Oilers. The Caps sit atop the NHL’s Metro Division at 7-2-2. Air time is 8:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
