SU Scoreboard, Caps Win In OT, Nats Ready To Begin NLDS In LA

Men’s soccer lost at Hampden-Sydney 1-0
Women’s volleyball fell to Gettysburg 3-0
Volleyball plays at Hood.
The Washington Capitals began the 2019-2020 season by spoiling the St. Louis Blues’ Stanley Cup party 3-2 in OT. The defending champs led 2-0 before the Caps made their comeback and won on Jakub Vrana’s
overtime goal. Next up for the Caps, a 7pm faceoff tomorow against the New York Islanders.
The Washington Nationals take on the Dodgers tonight out west in Game 1 of the National League Divisional series. Patrick Corbin will take the hill for the Nats, who will face Walker Buehler in tonight’s opener. The Dodgers edged the Nationals 4-3 in the regular season series. Air time tonight is 8:05 on Sports Radio 1450.
The other NLDS series has the Braves hosting the Cardinals in game 1. First pitch is just after 5.
The Tampa Bay Rays advanced to the ALDS with a 5-1 win in Oakland last night in the American League Wild Card game. The Rays will now face the Houston Astros in Game 1 tomorrow at 2:05.
And, Week 5 begins tonight in the NFL, with the LA Rams in Seattle to take on the Seahawks. Both teams are 3-1, a half-game behind the surprising 49ers in the NFC West. Kickoff is set for 8:20.
