SU Sports Results…O’s Avoid 109…And NFL Week 3 Begins Tonight
The Shenandoah University Women’s soccer team took down Stevenson 2-1 in Owings Mills, Md., last night. The 0-5-2 Mustangs took an early lead on a penalty kick before the Hornets rallied for the win and improved to 3-4 on the season.
SU Field Hockey nipped St. Mary’s of Maryland 3-2 ysterday on the Eastern Shore. The Hornets jumped out to an early 2-0 lead which they would not relinquish as they upped their record to 6-1.
And Bridgewater scored 4 second-half goals and blanked Shenandoah 4-0 in Men’s soccer yesterday. It was the ODAC opener for both squads.
Tonight, Women’s volleyball will be in Pennsylvania to take on Mt. Aloysius.
Week 3 begins tonight in the NFL as the Cleveland Browns host the New York Jets. The Jets are 1-1 with rookie QB Sam Darnold, while Cleveland is 0-1-1 and trying to end a 19-game winless streak. Kickoff is set for 8:20.
The Nationals begin their final homestand of the season tonight as they entertain the New York Mets. The Nats are 77-75 and have virtually no chance at a postseason berth. Air time is 6:30 on NBC SportsRadio 1450.
The Orioles avoided loss number 109, as they nipped the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 last night. The O’s are off tonight before starting a weekend series at Yankee Stadium tomorrow night.
