Adams Haunts The Nats…O’s Suffer 99th Loss…NFL Kicks Off Tonight

Matt Adams hit 2 home runs against his former team, as the St. Louis Cardinals held off the Nationals last night 7-6. Adams, recently traded
to the Cards from the Nats, broke open the game early with a 3-run blast, then added another, as St. Louis took 2 of 3 from Washington. The Nationals host the Cubs tonight, with a 6:30 air time on NBC SportsRadio 1450.

The Orioles fell to Seattle last night 5-3. The Birds were 0-14 with runners in scoring position, as the lost their 99th game of the season. baltimore has the day off today before heading to Tampa for a weekend series against the Rays.

The NFL season starts for real tonight in Philadelphia, as the Eagles open defense of their world championship against the Atlanta Falcons. Eagles QB Carson Wentz has been ruled out for tonigt’s contest. Kickoff is set for 8:20.
