SU Softball Sweeps Randolph, Caps And Nats Back In Action Tonight

On the Shenandoah University sports scene, Softball won a pair of games at Randolph yesterday, taking the opener 10-5, and then completing the sweep with an 8-1 win in the nightcap. Men and Women’s Golf completed their season yesterday with seventh and fourth place finishes respectively in the ODAC Championships.

Today, Hornet Baseball travels to Eastern Mennonite, while Softball plays two at Mary Washington.

The Washington Nationals return to action tonight when they start a midweek series against Toronto. The Nats are 8-1, and at the bottom of the NL East, 2 games back of the New York Mets. Air time is 6:37 on Sports Radio 1450.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles held the Yankees to just 4 hits in a 4-2 win at Camden Yards. The two teams play again tonight at 7:05.

And, the Washington Capitals are back on the ice tonight when they wrap up 3 consecutive games against the New York Islanders. The Caps are now a point behind the surging Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL’s Eastern Division. Air time is 6:45 on The River 95-3.
